ZI GARMENT

Mahdis Balouchi, the founder of Zi Garment Design, aims at providing designs inspired by ancient cultures of the world to create attractive Iranian outfits. The word “Zi '' is taken from the ancient Baluchi dialect, meaning “Yesterday” and is the root of the verb “live” in farsi. This choice indicates Mahdis’ interest in post-modernism. Zi tries to mingle tradition and modernity to revive the unique and forgotten Iranian art and cultural manifestations. Moreover, Mahdis has made attempts to use the colors of nature to maintain diversity and incorporate the concept of “life” in her collections.
